We propose a unique 2-night stay in the Piedmontese Langhe, discovering the two main locations: Barolo & Barbaresco.
Barolo is a charming commune located in the Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy. It is famous for being the birthplace of the eponymous Barolo wine, known as the 'King of Wines'. The commune of Barolo is nestled in a hilly landscape of extraordinary beauty, characterised by vineyards as far as the eye can see and a rich history of wine-making traditions.
The Nebbiolo vines, the main grape used to produce Barolo, stretch out on slopes well exposed to the sun. The historic centre of Barolo is charming, with narrow, winding streets, and is home to the famous Castello di Barolo, which is now a wine museum and an important landmark for Barolo lovers. This location attracts tourists from all over the world eager to explore the world of wine and taste the local specialities.
The municipality of Barbaresco, also located in the Langhe, is famous for Barbaresco wine, another great red wine produced from the Nebbiolo grape. This charming village is situated on the banks of the Tanaro river and offers a charming, rural atmosphere.
In the heart of the municipality of Barbaresco stands the Torre, an iconic medieval tower that rises above the surrounding vine-covered hills. This tower is a symbol of the municipality and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding wine region. Barbaresco is known for its production of elegant and refined wines, often ready to drink at a young age, but with the potential to age beautifully.
During your stay, you will have the opportunity to participate in an exciting Wine Tour of both municipalities. During this experience, you will have the chance to explore the most iconic places and taste the delicious wines produced in these areas, all accompanied by delicious food prepared with local products, served in characteristic restaurants in the area.
