Collina dei Poeti is a farm on the hill of Spinalbeto, on the outskirts of Santarcangelo di Romagna, in the immediate hinterland of Rimini: a pleasant place, rich in history and culture where the typical hospitality of the people of Romagna is in perfect harmony with the harmony of its hills, vineyards and olive groves.
Starting from the Hill of Poets, we will explore the area with an anthropological-folkloric walk to discover the lively and cheerful Romagna spirit of Santarcangelo.
We will pass through cultivations of fruit trees and skirt the Uso River, then climb to Jupiter Hill, from which there are views of the hinterland and the Adriatic coast. The guide will give a brief explanation of the origins and geological conformation of the area.
We will reach the historic center and wander through alleys and stairways, touching on the most significant sites of the city, such as the Malatesta fortress, the civic tower, the arch of Pope Clement, the spheristerium, Eron's murals, Tonino Guerra's fountains, the hypogea and the workshop of the ancient mangle, dated 1633.
The guide will tell you some legends related to the history, traditions and characters who have inhabited this village.
