With this experience, WeHike takes you on a journey to discover the secrets of making a perfect Italian pizza. The hike will start from what is now Piazza Matteotti, the heart of the village of Greve in Chianti, in the center of which stands the large statue of Giovanni da Verrazzano, the famous Italian navigator, who was born in Greve in 1485.
Leaving the village behind, we will begin to climb along a path, immersed in the landscape of the rolling Chianti hills, enjoying a beautiful view of Borgo di Montefioralle which we will reach on foot.
We will admire the splendor of this village through picturesque views of rare beauty, “decorated” by woods on the summit, vineyards and farmers’ houses scattered in the estates.
The hike will lead us to the home of our talented chef (pizza maker), where we will have the opportunity to learn the art of making pizza, one of
the most famous dishes of our gastronomic traditions.
With a spectacular view of the Chianti Classico hills we will begin our experience: we will knead the dough together following the chef’s advice and cook our favorite pizza. Finally, we will enjoy it freshly baked, naturally accompanied by Chianti Classico wine, typical of the area.
