Discover the secrets of the traditional Piadina Romagnola
Join us for this cooking class dedicated to the famous Piadina Romagnola, organized in collaboration with the Mariette Association. From a traditional local dish, the piadina has become one of the most beloved contemporary street foods. During the course, you will witness a demonstration of the preparation and baking on clay pans from Montetiffi, a handicraft of our area. You will also delve into the history and culture related to the piadina romagnola and learn all about the raw materials used, including the different types of flour and Mora Romagnola Presidio Slow Food lard.
Each participant will have their own equipped station and will be supervised by a Marietta, learning how to knead and roll the piadina strictly by hand, using a traditional rolling pin. You will be able to experiment with baking on clay pans and, at the end of the course, you will take home your creations. But before you leave, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a taste of your piadina, paired with Squacquerone di Romagna DOP. In addition, you will receive a Romagna-printed cloth apron from Casa Artusi and a small handout containing recipes and insights from the cooking class. An authentic and memorable experience, perfect for lovers of Italian cuisine.
